Christmas Calorie counts

 

 

Below is a rounded calorific breakdown for just some of the foods we eat during the festive period. Remember calories are required in day to day life simply just to function never mind take part in a training programme.

 

 

Remember the average daily calorie intake for females is 2000 calories and 2500 for males.

 

 

It’s not quite as simple to eat say a bar of chocolate and then perform exercises for the equivalent calorific amount and think it is totally gone from your system. But it does give you a little motivation when exercising!

 

 

 

 

50 calorie foods

 

1 Baby bell                                       1 spread jam/honey

1 small diet fruit yogurt                 2 teaspoons of sugar for tea or coffee

1 fruit portion                                   1 pub spirit measure(port/sherry)

 

 

100 calorie foods

 

1 can of lemonade                       1 kit Kat

3 after dinner mints                       

1 oz of boiled sweets or pastels 1 oz brie, camembert or edam

1 packed of Wotsits                       1 packed of Skips

1 packet of Twiglets                     

1 Short bread finger                     

1 small glass of wine                     half pint of beer, lager, cider

1 light bottle of beer                    

1 pub spirit measure of Baileys, brandy, Gin, Whisky, Vodka, Cointreau

1 pint of lager shandy with diet lemonade

 

 

 

150 calorie foods

 

1 pack of Hula Hoops

1 oz chocolate                               1 pack of Snack a Jacks

 

 

1 pack of Walkers light crisps     

1 oz peanuts                                   

           

1 chocolate biscuit                      

1 can of Coke, Irn Bru, Fanta      1 Chomp

1 Pepperami                                   1 Bottle of beer

 

 

 

200 calorie foods

 

2 Slices of Toast                               2 Crackers/Oatcakes with 1oz Cheese

                                                            1 small slice of sponge cake

2 treat size bars of chocolate     1 Bakewell tart

1 Mince pie                                     

1 Curly Wurly                                  

1 Frys Turkish delight                     

1 large glass of wine

1 pint of beer, lager, Cider         

1 mug of hot chocolate with semi skimmed milk
